Mumbai, May 23 — After conceptualising a play on his life, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has now decided to make a film on Muntadhar Al-Zaidi, the 32-year-old Iraqi journalist who threw a shoe at former US President, George Bush.
Actor Imran Zahid, who played Al-Zaidi on stage, will essay the role in the film as well. Filmmaker Pooja Bhatt will produce the film with actor Dino Morea. The positive feedback that the play generated brought about the idea.
