But it turned into a Sonia - Jagan power struggle. The biggest mistake was lathi charging the students in OU without any provocation, it made almost everyone support telangana. The cop who did the lathi-charge without home ministers permission was a Jagan supporter.They wanted to use the situation, create some riots and then overthrow Rosiah. Then Sonia gave the twist and annouced the formation of Telangana to split AP and make sure Jagan never had any major power to be a threat to her son in the future.
